  6. To the best  of our knowledge  this magazine was circulated  100% virus free. 
  7. However,  if you  have  copied this off  a friend, or  received it  from a PD 
  8. library make sure you keep  the disks write  protected - there is no need for 
  9. any of the software to write to the  disks. Write protect the disk BEFORE you
  10. first boot it to be safe.

  12. The disks  should be free of boot-block  viruses. A simple check to make sure
  13. the disk is free  of them is by booting it. You should  see a small THE FINAL 
  14. FRONTIER logo  when you boot  any of the  disks. If you  don't, but  the disk 
  15. still  boots, check it  with a  good virus  killer such  as NO  VIRUS,  VIRUS 
  16. CHECKER or MASTER  VIRUS KILLER. Please note that  on Issue  1, the bootblock 
  17. will NOT appear on the Amiga 500+ if you have extra memory fitted.

  19. Unlike our  first Issue, there  IS an "L"  directory on all the  disks and it 
  20. contains two  files - Ram-Handler (we  needed to set  up a RAM: disk  for the
  21. text viewer) and a Disk-Validator file. Before we  despatched the disks, they
  22. were all tested for file, bootblock, and  disk validator files  so the system 
  23. should be clear.

  25. If you bought this mag from a PD libary and found that a virus was on it, let
  26. us know so we can try and stop other readers getting unwanted virus problems. 
  27. However, most good PD Libraries make sure  that their collections are free of
  28. all known viruses.

  30. We will get  the library, to check their copy of  the mag, and if they refuse 
  31. to co-operate  or offer  an apology in  their latest catalogue  then we  will 
  32. prevent them from distributing  the disk in the future. This may sound harsh, 
  33. but we can't tolerate PD libraries spreading viruses to their customers.
